Leslie (she/her) comes from a background in Child and Youth Care. Leslie spent few years working in an emergency shelter & supportive housing environment before joining the Choices For Youth community. Leslie worked with youth aged 16-29 providing intensive case management supports for a few years. Leslie took some time off to start a family and upon returning to CFY she joined the Upstream team and has been loving it ever since. Leslie believes it takes a village, and her favorite part of the job is seeing youth and families strengthen relationships and connections with each other and within the community. Leslie’s other favorite part is all of the fun experiences she gets to share at work. Whether it’s a cup of tea with a guardian, an activity with a youth or advocating for change, every day is different and that’s what makes her job so exciting! When Leslie is not working at Upstream you can find her being a mom to a busy preschooler, tackling that never ending basket of laundry or catching up on the latest reality TV show! Oh and always drinking a Diet Pipsay!
